Abby Grantham (she/her) is a queer female director/producer based in NYC. She loves breathing new life into classic human stories in ways that aim to uplift queer and female voices within the world of theatre. She loves digging deep into Shakespeare exploring complex language and characters. On top of this, she also has special love for producing immersive and site-specific productions. ​
RECENT PROJECTS
Regional: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Williamston Youth Theatre, Director/Choreographer). NYC: Flight Plan (Daisy Theatrical, Director), Good Boy (Strangegirlzz, Director), Las Hijas de la Santa Muerte (Ripley-Grier, Co-Producer). Upcoming projects: Forest High and the Glitch in the System (Associate Producer), a new musical making its Off-Broadway debut in May 2026 at The Payers Theatre. 2026 CIPA Fellow and 2026 Circle Theater Workshop Director. MISSION STATEMENT
As an artist, she really works to uplift queer and female creatives and stories, focusing on new works and reimagining stories that explore complex characters and relationships. As a Shakespeare nerd she really loves getting to tell these stories in new and challenging ways that connect with younger audiences. She also loves to tell stories that are rooted in history and give voice to characters who have struggled to have a fair story told.
